Ka’eo woke from another nights sleep, eyes barely opening. His body ached from all the hours of wieght lifting and force training he had been putting himself through. He laid in bed for a few seconds, reflecting what he had been taught, but the one he was most interested in was what Xanith had taught him.

He sat up and whipped his legs around the side of the bed, using his arms to catapult himself onto the floor. He stood up and started to tip over, forgetting he needs to get used to his legs in the morning. Ka’eo thought about putting something on, but he knew Xross and Serenity were not going to be awake yet. They seemed to be late risers, and Ka’eo had always gotten up early.

He walked over to the door, running his right hand through his silver mess of hair as his left reached for the handle and opened it. He looked both ways down the hall just to make sure that no one was indeed around. Once he saw the coast was clear, he walked down the hallway to the kitchen, his thin body casting a shadow behind him as the morning sun came through the windows. He quickly opened the fridge and took inventory of what was inside. He saw a carrot and smiled, grabbing it and shutting the door. He walked over to the sink, rinsing it off before walking down towards the training room.

Ka’eo made his way over to the window, golden eyes scanning the glass he put his hand through the other day. He knew he should not be trying to use a force power like that without an avatar around, but he wanted to train. He took a bite of his carrot, pondering how mad Xross would be if he did mess up and either break the window, or get stuck in it.

He continued munching on the carrot until there was none left. “Now’s the deciding moment” he said out loud as he walked over to stand right near the window, looking at his own reflection. He closed his eyes, taking deep breaths. Soon he could hear heart beats, Xross’s and Serenity’s, and most of all, his own. They helped calm him as he felt more of the force around him.

In his mind, he pictured a beautiful lake in the mountains. On the opposite side of the lake, the sun was setting, coloring a canvas of pinks and purples. It was a beautiful scene. He imagined bending over and looking directly at the surface of the lake, the ripples rolling near him as they eagerly lapped at the shore. He reached towards the surface, his finger tips penetrating the liquid.

It felt cool on his finger tips, but inviting. He plunged more of himself in, first his hand, and then his forearm. Pretty soon Ka’eo was lost in his own imagination, putting more and more in. Suddenly, he lost his balance by the lake and started to fall forward. For a second he thought he was going to drown, but once his head pierced the surface of the water, he could breath. And that is when he remembered.

Ka’eo opened his eyes, and to his horror, he was falling towards the ground. His eyes got wide, thinking this was it, he was not going to be able to survive this one. But the lesson with Xanith came into his mind. He quickly gathered his thoughts to try and figure this out.  “If the mirror was like water, then what can I do not to fall to my death?!” he yelled to himself. “A feather!!!” he shouted in excitement.

He quickly closed his eyes and imagined his situation, falling towards the ground, but instead of imagining himself he imagined a feather in his place, falling slowly, gracefully towards the ground. A feather is not lighter then air, but merely an object that liked to float in the breeze. Within a few seconds he felt the air start to slow down, and it only seemed like a light breeze.

He dwelled in the feeling for a bit before finally getting curious and opening his eyes. As he did, he noticed he was two feet off the ground. However, that was enough to break his concentration, and he fell the last few feet, his almost naked body slamming down on the sidewalk. Pain shot all throughout his body. Ka’eo groaned and stood up, looking at the pedestrians, watching them for a second as they all gossiped to each other about the strange half naked boy that just fell from the sky.

He heard someone whistle at him and that was it, he quickly ran to the entrance of the building making his way up stairs. He waited for the lift to come down, his feet were moving around in place, “come on…  I need to get back upstairs before anyone else notices me…” ‘Bing’ sounded the lift, doors opening, and there stood two beautiful ladies. Ka’eo was embarrassed, his hands shot down to his privates and he looked down at the ground.

The ladies giggled as the got off the lift. He nodded his head, “ladies” as he quickly ran in and pressed the button for his floor. He caught a glimpse of them taking one last look and talking to each other before the doors closed. He took a sigh of relief, at least he was on his way back up. The only problem was, he did not remember how to get into Xross’s place.

Luckily living on the streets meant he majored in survival and minored in lock picking. He quickly picked the controls for the penthouse, using the pad on the door to override it. It glitched out for a second, but soon the door opened up. He ran in and a smile came over his face. “Ahhh….  Home…. Maybe I shouldn’t try using that type of force power until an avatar is around to supervise.” He then laughed to himself and made his way to the shower.
The characters Xanith, Xross, and Serenity are not owned by me. I was just bored and wanted to type something and this is what came out. If anyone involved has a problem with it, i will be more then happy to take it down. Like i said, i was bored =P
